Op 3 september 2024 promoveerde Manu Bilsen aan de Universiteit Leiden op zijn proefschrift getiteld ‘Beyond the cloudiness in urinary tract infection: definitions, diagnostics and strategies for prevention’. Het onderzoek werd verricht onder supervisie van promotoren prof. dr. L.G. Visser en prof. dr. S.P. Conroy, en copromotor dr. M.M.C. Lambregts. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
